I am immensely proud of Lacuna. I feel like I’ve been edging towards this record all my life, trying to make the best bloody rock album that I am capable of. I feel now that if this was to be the last Church album then we’ve gone out in style. Hats off to my band who’ve helped me craft this love-filled behemoth that just about sums up every good thing I’ve ever tried to do with this band that I started oh so long ago. Here it all comes to fruition. The intwining guitars and the lyrics. The walloping drums and the ambiences. The codas and the reprises. The digressions and the solos.
